Those eligible for CQT rewards will be airdropped once the campaign has finished. Examining each participant's uptime, and performance, as well as the submission for both optional tasks, will take some time. We appreciate your patience with this process. Covalent will keep participants up to date with this process.
The address to which the CQT will be airdropped to is the same “Reward” address submitted in your application form. Prior to this airdrop, a Covalent team member will reach out directly to confirm that this is the address you wish to receive it.
Only those who have achieved a minimum uptime of 80% will be eligible for CQT rewards for this task.
The prize for these exceptional individuals is the minimum stake for the Refiner, which amounts to an impressive 35,000 CQT.
To address any concerns about potential risks associated with the prize, we have devised a strategy to ensure the participants remain committed. Instead of simply airdropping the entire amount to their personal addresses, we have implemented a solution that involves rewarding staked WholeCQT.
We have a function called setValidatorAddress, which enables the validator to change their address. With this functionality, we can stake the prize amount using our own validators initially, and then change the addresses to those of the winning participants. This way, mainnet winners will be rewarded with staked WholeCQT.
By employing this approach, we can ensure that the participants remain engaged until they are fully onboarded as validators. However, after this point, mainnet winners are free to unstake and leave the network if they wish.
While we strive to foster a strong and committed community, we understand that individual decisions ultimately lie with the participants. Nonetheless, we are confident in the passion and dedication of our community members and believe that the opportunity to contribute as validators will encourage them to stay actively involved even beyond the initial onboarding process.
The remaining participants who maintained a minimum uptime of 80%, will be airdropped CQT directly to the “Reward” address provided.
Those who are selected as winners of the written content competition will be contacted via Discord directly along with details on their winnings.
