The workshop is an educational program that includes intensive group engagement and collaborative discussions. The aim of the workshop is to develop practical skills.
Alchemists workshops are online meetups where the community gathers to learn about an interesting subject from a subject matter expert. The aim of the workshop is to encourage the subject matter experts to share their knowledge and help recognize their talents in a public forum. For the community, the aim of the workshop would be to upskill our community members to tackle new challenges or explore new opportunities in life.
The theme/topic of the workshops could fall under the following categories:
šØāš» Technical workshops
- These workshops could be about presenting a particular technical topic (Ex: Introduction to Blockchain, NFT, What is IPFS, etc.) or a demo workshop (How to write your first Solidity smart contract?).
- The topics are not restricted to blockchain but could also span generic topics like āLearn to build your first ReactJS appā or āLearn to write REST APIs in NodeJSā.
- The aim of these workshops is to help upskill the community in various technical topics.
- It is recommended to have at least 6 months - 1 year of experience for the Subject Matter expert to be able to deliver the workshop/talk in the most effective way possible.
š§ Lifestyle
- Lifestyle workshops could be about presenting any lifestyle topics around health and wellness, habits, hobbies, etc.
- Lifestyle workshops are meant for spreading awareness about general healthy lifestyles, creating interest in new and innovative hobbies, etc.
- We would prefer the lifestyle workshops to be kept more interactive and entertaining if the speaker can accommodate so.
- More and more practical workshops are encouraged in this section.
š Career and Personal Development
- Career and Personal development workshops could be about various topics that one can learn to upskill in their career or overall personal development. It may include topics like marketing, communication skills, leadership-related workshops etc.
- It would be very helpful to get a precise description of your topic. Be as clear and expressive as you would like - while describing your topic as a speaker.
- It is important to also list the audience takeaway during these types of sessions, so we can brand them accordingly.

If you want to host a workshop:
- Fill in the form for submitting a workshop idea
- Piing the mentor/dean-in charge and book a call with one of the @Deans to discuss your idea. You will find that the dean-in-charge matrix on the main page of the Education Guild.
- Go through the workshop checklist:
- [ ] Have a laptop that can provide camera access or a camera on your smartphone
- [ ] Check out recommendations on Presentation skills
- [ ] Prepare engaging activities - especially for lifestyle-based topics
- [ ] Ensure that you have a presentation prepared in advance (at least 1 week before the workshop for our mentor/dean to review your presentation)
- [ ] Keep in mind that your workshop will be hosted and saved on Covalent YouTube
